Christine woke up to the sound of Mackie coming in. Quite groggy, she looked down at the 3 year old.
“Hi Mackie, what do you need?”
“They said dinner’s weady”
“Okay, i’ll be down in a few”
After Mac left, she went to the bathroom to wash her face. Refreshed, Christine went downstairs for dinner. When she went into the dining room, it was really cheery and noisy. The younger kids were playing with toys, Isaac was strumming a few chords and trying to write a song, while Zac was glued to the TV Screen. After thinking, she decided watching t.v. would be somewhat entertaining and went over to one of the sofas.
“Hey Zac, watcha watchin?”
“Hey Christine, i’m watching ‘Friends’”
“Cool, is it a good episode?”
“Yeah, its hilarious!!” Zac replied enthusiastically.
They sat and watched the half hour episode till dinner was ready.

“Um, lets go downstairs, dinner’s ready” Starla said, pulling away and leaving the room.
Taylor went to the doorway and followed, confused. Dinner was loud and noisy, Christine and Zac were getting hyper together, the parents were all talking, and Taylor and Starla stared at their food, quiet while they ate.
AFTER DINNER.......
“Okay, who’s washing the dishes?” the parents said, eyeing all the children. Before they could pick, Star offered.
“I’ll wash ‘em” Seizing the opportunity, Tay offered also.
While washing, Taylor spoke up “Star, what’s wrong?” She shook her head, “Nothing’s wrong”
“But, when we kissed....” he began. “Nothing’s wrong!” Star harshly said. She didn’t mean to be so loud, but it came out to be.
They finished the dishes and even though Tay wanted to confront her again, he decided to give her some space. It’s just she hadn’t been so frustrated at him like that before.

The next day, Star decided to take her mind off things and went to the rec center. While shooting some hoops, she saw one of her friends from Soccer.
“Hi!” Jake said, “didn’t think anyone would be here on winter break!”
“Well, I got some things to keep my mind off of” she replied, “wanna play?”
“Well, you’re gonna kick my butt at this, but okay” Jake replied.
“I’ll be easy on ya” Star said laughing.
They both played for about half an hour, but Jake got bored of it, so they decided to go over to the coffee shop near the rec.
Opening the door, they sat down in one of the back booths, away from the crowded people in the front.
“So isnt’ Tay back in town?” Jake asked, attempting to carry another conversation. Star looked down at her Ice Cap, “Yeah, he was over at our house last night” Jake, saw that Tay wasn’t exactly the right subject to talk about.
“Isn’t it the wrong season to be drink an Ice Cap?” he said, on the verge of laughing.
“No it isn’t, it’s exhilarating” She said, laughing. “Yeah, so is jumping into a frozen pond in the middle of winter!” Jake said bursting with laughter.
“Hey, I told you it was them!” a voice said, pointing at them. The two of them turned around to see Isaac, Taylor, and Zac in front of them, Zac pointing at them.
“Hey” Taylor said, looking away.
