Taylor stood there. He didn’t know what to do, what to say. The girl he liked just literally broke his heart right there. He too left, his heart struggling to find the piece that once held Star.
Days passed and the boys’ careers soared. But despite the cheery faces of the three, one held a look of complete broken heartedness under it. His lack of enthusiasum was beginning to show more often and his two parents were beginnning to worry about him.
“Isaac, can we talk to you for a few minutes?” Diana asked, finishing with the laundry.
“Yeah, sure mom” Isaac answered, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s about Taylor. He’s been really down this past week, do you know what’s wrong?”
The concerned tone in his mother’s voice told him to spill the beans on Taylor’s current depression. He sighed, taking a deep breath before answering the dreaded question.
“He’s been really down because of Star, mom. Apparently the “no girlfriends” issue we faced about two months ago is still affecting him. He really likes her mom. Kate and I tried to set them up, but she rejected him......resulting in this” he concluded.
Diana gasped, “I didn’t know they were so tight. We’re going to have to talk with Mercury”
“Just don’t tell Tay I told you, alright?” Isaac interjected.
“Sure, and thank you for telling me. Its getting late, go to bed early”
“Okay, goodnite mom”

“Hey mom, can I go over to Christine’s house? We’re going to the mall.” Zac asked before taking another bite of his toast.
“Sure honey, but who’s going to drive you guys?” Diana asked.
“Oh, Christine’s dad. We thought we might just walk home though”
“Alright, try to be home around 6 for dinner though”
Zac put his plate in the sink, and ran up the stairs, “Thanks mom!”
He retreated back into his room, only to find Taylor lying around. Again.
“Hey Tay” Zac said, looking around for his shirt. “Are you going to do anything today?”
“No, I think i’ll just hang around here again. Last time I went out wasn’t so great” Taylor replied.
“Well at least have a shower, you look really bad” Zac replied. “There it is!” he exclaimed, pleased to find his shirt.
“Gee thanks!” Taylor chuckled.
Within an hour, Zac was ready, and strapped on his blades. He glided through the familiar houses and enjoyed the cool air brushing across his skin. Arriving upon the Jenks driveway, he took this opportunity to change into some shoes before knocking.
“Hey” Christine said, opening the door. Zac smiled, going into the house. “So when do you wanna go to the mall?” he asked looking around.
“I don’t know, wanna get something to drink first?”
“Sure,” he answered, following her into the kitchen. Sitting on one of the kitchen stools was a beyond recognizable Star. “Woah” he said, “Hey Star”
“Hm” Star replied looking at her glass of juice pretty intently. She was dressed in sweats, and looked almost in the same state as Taylor.
“Um Zac? Let’s go to the mall now” Christine said, lightly tugging Zac out of the kitchen.

“Taylor! This is it! I am so sick and tired of your attitude! Nothing is right for you, if you want her back, you need to try. No one is just going to grant you a wish and get her to come running into your arms!” Isaac was tired of it all, the constant moping around and half sentences Taylor managed to spit out. All the depressing crap was beginning to wear off on him also.
“No Isaac can’t you see? She doesn’t want to do anything with me! I am not making a fool out of myself” Taylor argued, tears beginning to form in his eyes from the sudden realization.
“She wants you back and you know it” Isaac said calming slightly. “Go after her, do what you have to do, but get her. You two are too stubborn”
“Yeah, and how do you know she still likes me? What are you some mind reader?”
“No, but I do have a little snoop named Zac. He told me Star doesn’t look or act for that matter, better than you do right now”
For the first time, Taylor’s face did brighten up. “Really?”
Isaac grinned, “Yeah”
